Under her leadership, the fund is dedicated to investing in Community Shopping Centers. Lauri is also a Partner at Selene Palm Springs, spearheading the development of a Dream hotel and residential project in Palm Springs, a venture she has been meticulously working on since its inception in 2017. Residing in Palm Springs, California, Lauri’s entrepreneurial journey is a testament to resilience, vision, and an unwavering commitment to making a difference.

Lauri’s career began in the remote and rugged landscape of Barrow, Alaska, where she worked for the Alaska Eskimo Whaling Commission, overseeing aboriginal whaling practices. This unique experience laid the foundation for her career, instilling in her a deep respect for tradition and community. This early experience was pivotal, shaping her understanding of sustainable practices and community engagement, principles that continue to guide her work today.

Pursuing further education, Lauri earned her MBA in Finance from the prestigious Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. With advanced knowledge and keen business acumen, she entered the development and construction arena with Irvine Retail Properties. Here, she honed her skills in real estate and development, setting the stage for her future endeavors.

Driven by a desire to create and preserve, Lauri founded a historic restoration company, which flourished under her leadership, expanding to offices in both San Francisco and Los Angeles.
